Jerry appears in Culture Crash Comics cosplaying Shiva from Final Fantasy X.

Filipina cosplayer Jerry Polence first entered the limelight when she appeared on the cover of Culture Crash Comics in 2004, cosplaying the ice goddess Shiva from Final Fantasy X. She’s since cosplayed a number of characters from popular video games, including a Valkyrie from Ragnarok Online, a priestess from Priston Tale, Sarah Kerrigan from StarCraft, and Fran from Final Fantasy XII.

In the competitive anime cosplay arena, Jerry won the grand prize at Animax Robo-Dream 2005 for her portrayal of Chii from Chobits, earning perfect scores across the board from all judges. She also won first place as Diva Erinnus from Cyber Team in Akihabara at Cosparade on Ice 2004, and the award for Best Performance as Utena Tenjou from Revolutionary Girl Utena at AnimeXplosion 2005.

Jerry’s cosplay awards extend beyond the stage: she won the Animax cosplay photo contest in 2010. As a cosplay blogger, Jerry has been nominated for seven Philippine Blog Awards.
