To finalize my Hong Kong adventure, basically day three was shopping day and bonding with my newly found friends. ^_^ I want to thank The Cosplay Chronicles / Kaika / Elpheal He for letting me borrow her photos.^_^ Do check her out.
We went to the Sino Center. Lots of awesome otaku items.
Then we went to Heng Hiong, the famous wife biscuit franchise store. Wife biscuits are special cakes given by the men of Hong Kong to women they wish to marry.^_^ Click here to continue reading “Hong Kong Halloween Treats Day 3″…September 20th, 2011
That day I woke up a bit early, prepared my costume, and headed down for breakfast with World Cosplay Summit 2011 Thailand representatives Natthar Janjarhatsin and Jiaki Pornkarunathikul. At that time, they were the Thailand winners of the Hong Kong Halloween Treats contest by Animax Asia and the Hong Kong Tourism Board. A few minutes later I was joined by the Singaporean representatives Kaika/Elpheal He, Jason Koh, and Hiyuki Ong. After a delightful breakfast we headed to our rooms to change and wait for our shuttle to the event.
So here’s a short video of us fooling around with our cameras before we were presented to the public, and a little footage before dinner. ^_^
Here are some pictures courtesy of Alodia‘s cousin Noel Gosiengfiao during the event. ^_^ Click here to continue reading “Hong Kong Halloween Treats Day 2″…July 1st, 2011
Long overdue, I finally got around to posting about my trip to Hong Kong courtesy of the Hong Kong Tourism Board and Animax Asia as the Philippine cosplay participant. So day one was the arrival, and I got to meet the other participants from other countries at the airport.
Video courtesy of Singaporean blogger participant Elpheal “Kaika” He. Watching this video, I realize, I’m really a bit too tall. ^_^;

It’s Spring, and the cherry blossoms are beautiful, amidst the very dreary weather the past weeks. They don’t last a long time, so despite the very drizzly day, we decided to go out, and take advantage of their presence before they are gone for the season. Braving the rain and being the very otaku-hearted people that we are, we went out to immortalize the very Japanese-ish scenes around the town and in Olympia.
During my last visit to the Philippines in November, I met up with Japanese culture enthusiast Archie Gavina Belardo, a mainstay and often exhibitor at local bazaars and conventions selling authentic Japanese merchandise. To my surprise, he presented me with kimonos. I wore one of them for this photoshoot.^_^
Just to test out the lighting, we took a couple of shots near the neighbor’s fence. Can you tell?
This shot was taken at South Puget Sound Community College, after which we headed to the quaint Yashiro Japanese Garden, where the rest of the following shots were taken.^_^ Click here to continue reading “Spring Cherry Blossom Kimono Photoshoot”…April 26th, 2011

For fun I made a red plaid skirt and beret for a test shoot with a superb photographer and a personal friend. Little did I know that I would get to use it again last January 23, for a photo shoot session with the class of Mr. Raymund Isaac! XD Click here to continue reading “Black & Red”…February 5th, 2009
